A clear, well-lit photo where your pet's face is in focus and not cropped. Phone photos are fine. If the photo won't work well, we'll tell you before we start, rather than print something you're not happy with.

Please only send a photo you took yourself or have permission to use. When you order, you confirm you have the right to use the photo for your portrait. We can't use photos taken from professional photographers, websites or social media without the owner's permission.

Yes. Our portraits are AI-assisted: we use AI image tools to create the artwork from your photo, and then the Paw Laureate team checks it and makes edits before it reaches you as a proof. Styles are our own and do not copy any named artist or character.

No. We send you three proofs of your pet, one each in Classic, Cartoon and Royal, and you pick your favourite. That's the one we print on the product you ordered (you get one printed item, not three). Your free digital copy is of the portrait you choose.

Pick the proof you like best, then tell us what to change and we'll send a new version. There's no limit on changes before printing, and nothing is printed until you're happy and approve it. If we can't get it right, we'll refund you in full before anything is printed. You can also cancel for a full refund at any time before approval.

Yes. Every order comes with a free digital copy of your portrait, emailed to you once you approve your proof. It's for personal use only, for example as a phone wallpaper or to share with family, not for resale or commercial printing.

Because each item is made to your design, the usual 14-day right to cancel doesn't apply once you've approved your proof and we've started making it. You can cancel for a full refund before then. If your item arrives damaged, faulty or not as you approved, contact us within 30 days at pawlaureate@gmail.com and we'll replace it or refund you. This doesn't affect your statutory rights. Full policies will be published before orders open.

We use your photo only to make your order. We share it only with the image tool and print partner needed to make it. We'll only use your email to tell you when orders open. We never use your photo or portrait in our marketing unless you separately say yes. Full policies will be published before orders open.

Once orders open, they dispatch from about 9 to 13 November (throws from mid-November), with UK delivery usually 3 to 7 working days after dispatch (our print partner's standard UK tracked service). When orders open, order by Fri 20 November for the best chance of Christmas delivery. Every order also comes with a printable gift-it-now card, so you have something to give on the day if your gift hasn't arrived yet. We can't guarantee delivery dates. We currently deliver to UK addresses only.

Yes. Once orders open, you'll be able to add their address at checkout.
